In this study, we propose what we mean by a diachronic systemic approach to languages. Then, using to the concept of deflexivity which explains most of the morphosyntactic evolutions from Latin to Romance languages, we will analyse the change of status of the personal reference in French and Italian, paying prticular attention to the evolution of the demonstrative system.
