This essay is aimed at investigating the interactions in the Gig economy between unions, collective bargaining and workers rights in Italy. The practices of Gig economy employers (Uber, Deliveroo, Foodora ecc.) of gig-workers (here, also «Jobs App») raise many issues also under the industrial relations, collective bargaining and strike legal regimes. Currently the academic question of whether gig-workers are employees or independent contractors is the key issue. Here the notion of Jobs App is detected in relation to the idea that gig-work- ers are «intermediated/supplied» by means of digital application. The issue of employee s- tatus also determines to what extent gig-workers can form a union and lawfully bargain protections. The attempts to unionize can put the gig-workers in relation to antitrust vio- lations and more complex competition law frame. Remedies concerning gig-workers in re- lation to unions, collective bargaining and Adr are proposed.

Abstract
Remedies concerning gig-workers in re- lation to unions, collective bargaining and Adr are proposed.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
