Entrepreneurship education has been globally recognised as a key tool to fight unemployment. This is even truer for countries within the African context, where a vast majority of its youth population is in such a condition. However, the effective implementation of entrepreneurship education programmes across developing nations has been met with several challenges. To shed further light on such topic, this study adopts an exploratory qualitative approach, collecting evidences from fifteen Higher Education Institutions in Sierra Leone to individuate key challenges faced in effectively implementing entrepreneurship education programmes. The study reveals that the development of entrepreneurship education programmes in Sierra Leone, and in developing nations, could be limited due to structural, cultural and pedagogical problems. Recommendations and implications for policy-makers are provided to implement concrete action that could ameliorate the situation of entrepreneurship education.

Abstract
Recommendations and implications for policy-makers are provided to implement concrete action that could ameliorate the situation of entrepreneurship education.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
