Objectives.Theaimofthestudywastoevaluateandcomparecrestalbonelossofsingle-maxillaryimmediatepostextractiveimplants andimmediatenonfunctionalloading(INFL)during72monthsoffollow-up.MaterialandMethods.Twosingletitaniumimplants (Certain Prevail, Biomet 3I, USA) were placed in two patients using INFL technique. Implant stability and crestal bone level weremeasuredonperiapicalradiographsat1,3,and6monthsaftersurgery.Results.Allosseointegratedimplantswereclinically successfulafter6yearsoffunctionalloading.Conclusion.Withinthelimitofthepresentcasereport,thepapersupportstheconcept thatINFLofsingledentalimplantcanbeasuccessfultreatmentprocedure.
