The knowledge management and quality management literatures often disregard the investigation into the operational approaches, which permit to organize these two systems in an integrated way. The studies of Nonaka and Takeuchi, Davenport, Grant, as those of Deming, Juran and others should be expanded and analysed in virtue of the possible existing interrelations. This thesis is concentrated on an explorative research. Infact, the quality management systems and the knowledge management often are not analysed in order to achieve all the possible synergies and complementarities which can lead firms to a superior level performance. After the study of the relating literature, it has been analysed the possibility of projecting an integrated system between the quality management and the knowledge management targeted at the improvement of firms core processes performance. The objects of the study are firms with routinary core processes for which the knowledge and the structural capital are incorporated into procedures. The new conceptual framework has been tested out in a maniufacturing firm. Analysing the resultes, it has been possible to notice an improvement of the producing system efficacy, a better products quality and, as a result, a global performance improvement. From this study the foundations for a more wide-ranging theoretical approach have been laid and the guidelines for future researches have been outlined.

Abstract
From this study the foundations for a more wide-ranging theoretical approach have been laid and the guidelines for future researches have been outlined.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
