Il superamento della liability of newness: uno studio esplorativo del settore vitivinicolo Italiano

Purpose: find out which could be the determinants of a young win firm overcoming of the liability of newness Design/methodology/approach: after a review of the relevant literature, an in depth multiple case study is performed Findings: there are some features of the environment, of the entrepreneurial process, of the organization and its strategy and of the individuals participating to the organization that act as determinant of a young firm survival. Especially, there is a need to look at the interaction between environment elements and internal elements. Research limitations/implications (if applicable): some limitation are implicit in the method used so far, the case study method. Impilication for further research are to narrow the scope of the research at only one single factor or few factors and to study the relationships among those factors and the survival of the young firm, by using quantitative methods Originality/value: during the literature review, there were found no studies about this topic in the wine industry.

Obiettivo: individuare le determinanti della sopravvivenza ai primi anni di vita (selezione naturale) delle imprese del settore vitivinicolo. Approccio: dopo una analisi della letteratura rilevante, viene effettuato un case study multiplo. Risultati: ci sono alcune caratteristiche dell'ambiente, del processo imprenditoriale, dell'organizzazione e della sua strategia e degli individuai partecipanti all'organizzazione che agiscono come determinanti della sopravvivenza. In particolare, occorre osservare il modo in cui l'organizzazione si pone in relazione con il suo ambiente. Limitazoni e implicazioni per la ricerca futura: alcune limitazoni sono implicite nella metodologia utilizzata, il case study method. La ricerca futura dovrebbe restrigere l'ambito della ricerca ad un singolo fattore o a pochi fattori e studiare le relazioni esattamente esistenti tra questi fattori e la sopravvivenza dell'azienda, usando metodi quantitativi. Originalità: durante l'analisi sistematica della letteratura non sono emersi studi su questo tema relativi alle imprese del settore vitivinicolo.
