The overall objective to design and develop a tool to support research, archiving and to cataloguing of complex assets as well as education, production and creativity. To achieve this, we must move from a paper or digital card related to a single performing arts element (e.g. the costume, the score, the video, etc.) to an innovative and structured cataloging digital complex model, applying the new technologies of communication. In March 2014 I created a prototype of a digital database on web for the ‘performance’(1), interface providing a Search Engine with an appropriate User Interface. It is able to organize Metadata according to the titles of plays, movies, dance etc. It appears as a sort of Hypertext. Each main card covers the show X season Y, as "root" for secondary cards containing metadata of the show, which are "branches" of the main card. There are folders for collecting pictures and documents. Each word may postpone such insights and specific cards. Of course, the operator introduces the data must have adequate skills and there is a need for more specialized compilers. This innovative model can be used as a template to implement a digital online platform, leveraging the latest web 2.0 technologies. The digital cataloguing of cultural complex assets by creating a search engine PERFORMANCE, will allow anyone to browse finding the spettacolo X Y on the network with all the metadata (paper, video and iconographical). Using "links" you can do all the necessary insights so asyou can find the same performance, represented in various eras and in different countries.
