The direct searches for particle Dark Matter, performed by the DAMA collaboration deep underground in the Gran Sasso National Laboratory, are summarized, Highly radiopure solid and LXe scintillators are used as target-detectors. In particular, the main points of a preliminary search for the WIMP annual modulation signature by using the large mass highly radiopure NaI(TI) set-up are outlined.
