An advanced load/source pull strategies are proposed for high efficiency power amplifier (PA) design. The load/source pull bench has been used in conjunction with harmonic tuning techniques for accurate and effective power amplifier design. The optimization strategy is presented together with the measured results obtained with a medium power 1-mm metal semiconductor field effect transistors (MESFET).
