Experimental tests on concrete ties have been performed in the Laboratory of Materials and Structures of the Civil Department of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. This paper aims to model the crack pattern of the experimental tests with a theoretical procedure. In particular, two different ties have been studied: a tie with ordinary reinforced concrete and a tie with a skin reinforcement made by a fiberglass mesh. The analytical model catches the experimental crack patters.
